Cara Backup Blackberry di Ubuntu

Sempat bingun kenapa kok RIM tidak menyediakan aplikasi backup untuk versi ubuntu/linux…..jadi bila di pasang di port usb BB hanya buat removable disk dengan mendeteksi MicroSD. Jadi buat copy pasta file, Jadi seandainya kita ingin melakuan mau backup, install, upgrade dll mesti membutuhkan sama windows …jadi mesti berapa dana yang mesti dikeluarin …. so kita kembali ke topik.

Ada aplikasi yang namanya barrybackup di synaptic ubuntu, tapi yah mesti agak sedikit repot karena masih harus mengutak-atik lagi…namun bukan masalah karena aplikasi ini selain bisa untuk membackup juga bisa digunakan sebagai sistem restore BB anda…..jadi mantap dah……oke sekarang lanjut aplikasi ini dilengkapi dengan aplikasi btool yang berguna sebagai blackberry test tool yang berbasis command line, cara instalnya adalah dengan  membuka Synaptic (System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager) lalu install paket berikut (beserta dependensinya):

  • barrybackup-gui
  • barry-util
  • opensync-plugin-barry

Setelah selesai terinstall, sekarang coba jalankan  btool …. buat opsi yang dijalankan silahkan ketikkan di terminal:

btool -h

akan muncul tampilan seperti ini:

-L List Contact field names
-m Map LDIF name to Contact field / Unmap LDIF name Map: ldif,read,write – maps ldif to read/write Contact fields Unmap: ldif name alone
-M List current LDIF mapping
-n Use null parser on all databases.
-p pin PIN of device to talk with If only one device is plugged in, this flag is optional
-P pass Simplistic method to specify device password
-s db Save database ‘db’ TO device from data loaded from -f file
-S Show list of supported database parsers
-t Show database database table
-T db Show record state table for given database
-v Dump protocol data during operation
-X Reset device
-z Use non-threaded sockets
-Z Use threaded socket router (default)

-d Command modifiers: (can be used multiple times for more than 1 record)

-r # Record index number as seen in the -T state table.
This overrides the default -d behaviour, and only
downloads the one specified record, sending to stdout.
-R # Same as -r, but also clears the record’s dirty flags.
-D # Record index number as seen in the -T state table,
which indicates the record to delete. Used with the -d
command to specify the database.

pasang blackberry pake kabel data, trus coba cek pake perintah usb, tuh blackberry terpasang di port berapa

nah, kedetek kan, blackberrynya……. terus backupnya gimana? jalanin aja barrybackup di terminal:

dan langsung kedetek BBnya… saat pertama masukin di port diminta notifikasi mau dikasih nama apa itu devicenya, di bagian config bisa diset apa saja yang dibackup dan apa aja yang mau direstore … trus bisa juga hasil backupnya disimpan dimana, defaultnya kesimpen di /home/<user>/.barry/backup/ nah ntar difolder berdasarkan pin backupnya dan format file backupnya PIN-YYYYMMDD-hhmmss .tar.gz hehehe keren kan, lgsg dikompress …. tapi pas saya buka hasil backupnya kyknya diencrypt
